Australian Walnut Veneer: Material Focus
Australian Walnut, also known as Queensland Walnut comes from the north eastern tip of Australia. Although it looks very similar to American Black Walnut, the wood actually isn’t even the same family as the true walnuts. The tree is commonly available in Australia, but typically only imported into the US as veneers. Australian Walnut adds a dramatic and distinctive design palette for interior design.
In this project the veneer is custom a lay-up, grain-flow, slip-match, resulting in a dramatic uninterrupted flow across the millwork.
