Meeting the Future at Pitt State Company Day 2020

For the past three years, our team has had the pleasure of participating in Pittsburg State University’s Company Day. Based in Pittsburg, Kansas, Pitt State remains the only school in the country offering a four-year degree in woodworking. Since we first learned about the school and its Architectural Manufacturing Management and Technology program, we knew it was something we had to be involved with.

Our company feels a deep responsibility for improving our industry, and the commitment we make to this school perfectly summarizes that. These students are the future, and the comprehensive education they are receiving is unmatched.

Pitt State’s annual Company Day serves as the perfect time for students to start engaging with notable woodworking establishments, and it is one of our team’s favorite yearly events. We were able to really showcase Gator Millworks to these young minds and discuss the opportunities we offer.

“We look forward to continuing our support of this university and its commitment to developing students and preparing them for the challenges and rewards of our industry,” says Chad Foster, CEO and president.

Gator is pleased to announce that Connor Wilbert, Cooper Williams and Matthew Arnold will be joining us for this summer as interns to continue growing their careers and expand their knowledge.
