Empowering the Future: Gator Millworks 2024 Manufacturing Day
At Gator Millworks, we believe in shaping the future of manufacturing, and that starts with empowering the next generation. For our 2024 Manufacturing Day, we had the privilege of hosting students from Denham Springs, Walker and Doyle High Schools. These students were given an inside look at what a future in manufacturing could offer, beyond the classroom.
Behind the Scenes at Gator Millworks
As students toured our facility, they saw firsthand that manufacturing isn’t just about running machines. From high-tech machinery to the detailed craftsmanship behind each custom project, we showcased the many facets of millwork. At Gator, we are more than a cabinet shop—we are a full-scale manufacturing plant. Each project flows from one station to the next, involving multiple skill sets, including design, engineering and production.
Careers Beyond the Workshop
One of our main goals was to demonstrate that careers in manufacturing extend far beyond traditional roles. Whether students are interested in technology, engineering or design, there is a place for them in the manufacturing industry. We’re proud to lead the way in innovation and provide students with the tools and knowledge needed for success.
Shaping the Future of Livingston Parish
By hosting events like Manufacturing Day, we hope to not only inspire future talent but also support the growth of our community. As these students step into their future careers, we hope to see many of them return to Gator Millworks as professionals who will continue to contribute to the innovation and development of Livingston Parish.
