It was a joy to welcome students from Live Oak, Denham Springs, Walker and Doyle High Schools for Manufacturing Day 2024! Watching their enthusiasm as they explored our facility was both inspiring and a reminder of the bright future of manufacturing. These young minds had the opportunity to see the craftsmanship, technology and teamwork that go into every project here at Gator. We were thrilled to show them what modern manufacturing looks like. 

At Gator Millworks, we believe manufacturing is more than just machines and materials. It’s a dynamic blend of technology, craftsmanship and creative problem-solving. The students got a firsthand view of this in action. They got to see how custom millwork moves seamlessly from design to production, with each machine, tool and individual playing a vital role. 

As they moved through our facility, they experienced the complexity of the manufacturing process. However, they also got to see the variety of career paths available—from technical roles on the shop floor to positions in engineering and design.

These young minds embrace technology in ways that excite us for what’s to come. They’re the generation that will take our industry to new heights. We’re excited to see how they’ll blend the art of craftsmanship with the power of innovation. 

Gator Millworks is proud to be a part of their journey. We loved giving them a glimpse of what’s possible and showing them that there’s a place here for them. We can’t wait to see how they’ll transform the industry.
