When Chad stepped further into the business, his perspective on the industry was different. He saw technology not as a threat to craftsmanship but as a tool to strengthen it. That mindset led to a defining moment in 2004 when we attended the IWF woodworking show in Atlanta.

The plan was simple. Explore new equipment and possibly purchase a CNC wood lathe. Instead, we walked past a CNC router that would ultimately reshape our future. After watching demonstrations and taking time to think it through, we made the decision to invest.

One Machine That Changed Everything

That 4×8 CNC router became the most important purchase we had ever made. Efficiency improved. Precision increased. Opportunities expanded. When applied with intention, technology does more than speed up production. It creates capacity for growth and opens doors that were previously out of reach.

There was one non negotiable standard. The product leaving the front door had to maintain the same level of quality as work built by hand. Over time, it became clear that the technology did not replace craftsmanship. It enhanced it.

Entering the Commercial Market

With improved efficiency came new possibilities. The equipment allowed us to step confidently into the commercial side of the industry. By 2005 and 2006, projects included banks and public schools. What began as a single investment became the gateway to a new market and a new level of growth.

Innovation pushed tradition forward. Embracing technology positioned us to meet demand, elevate quality and lead with confidence. That one decision in 2004 continues to shape who we are today.
